The Akron BMV (Ohio Deputy Registrar Agency 7731, operated by NOADA at 688 Wolf Ledges Parkway) handles the everyday motor-vehicle and licensing tasks Summit County residents need most: vehicle registration, license plates, driver licenses and state IDs, REAL ID, license reinstatements, disability placards, out-of-state VIN inspections, temporary tags, driving record abstracts, CDL test receipts, and Ohio BCI/FBI WebCheck background checks. This page is the directory, pick your task below, see what it involves, and jump to the full guide for documents, fees, and steps.
If you are searching for Ohio BMV Akron or BMV Akron Ohio, see our guide to Ohio BMV services in Akron for the Wolf Ledges location, hours, parking, and the most common in-branch services.
One thing to get straight before you go, because it saves a wasted trip: in Ohio, registration, plates, and driver licenses/IDs are handled here at the deputy registrar, while vehicle titles are issued by the Summit County Clerk of Courts title office. We explain the split below and route title questions to the right place.

Titles (we route, the Clerk of Courts issues titles)
Vehicle titles in Ohio are issued by the County Clerk of Courts, not the BMV. These pages explain the process and the right order, for example, an out-of-state vehicle needs a VIN inspection here, then the title at the Clerk, then plates and registration back here.
